First day...

After a absolutely overwhelming day of travel we are here. Alana did an amazing job getting here, she really did. We lucked out with security and the Delta crews we had.

Anyway, we are here and alive. Tomorrow at 7 am we have to be at the hospital...then the real fun begins. Alana has been complaining of a stomachache most of the day and has really not felt like eating besides some cereal for breakfast. I didn't mention but on Friday when we saw Dr. Mc she told us that if Alana wasn't coming here, like the next day, she would have had to admit her. Unfortunately her GI system is not moving. By that I mean her guts are not moving the food through her system via contractions (peristalsis) and this is making her very, very uncomfortable, irritable, and in pain. There isn't anything more we can do for her besides what we are which is lame at best.

Tomorrow brings us 4 meetings with specialists, 2 tests, 1 procedure. I can only hope and pray that we can keep her mind at ease even if we cannot help her body.
